Now, yes, the page isn't shaded today. I know that everyone loves the shading on the pages, and I enjoy doing it... most of the time, but I have my reasons for not doing it today.

1. If you'll notice in the third panel, Kareen's hands are far too small for her body. The reason for that was that I was rushed to get this page done. I truely detest drawing hands, but they are a necessary evil in a comic book. They didn't turn out too badly and they could have been worse, but it looks so off that I'm not going to take time to shade them. I will redraw them - maybe today, maybe tomorrow - and I'll digitally paste them in and the page shall be shaded.

2. I love my inking job on this page. I mean, really. I guess I was just having an awesome drawing evening that I was on fire, or something. (Perhaps I should do rough sketching before I do the page, like I did today. That worked well.) So just for today, I'm focusing on the inking job mostly. Love that inking!

And before anyone messages me about the first panel (like any of you do anyway), yes, Dylana's hair is now in a braid as apposed to a pony tail. If you have ever tried to sleep with long hair, it's a pain in the neck; it's all over the place. In a braid, at least it's gathered together in one place. It does turn into a sort of whip though, if you're sleeping near someone, but at least it doesn't effect you, heh!

I was talking to my friend Sango yesterday and both of us are very into fantasy, drawing, etc.. (this was actually taking place in Japanese class, but shhh!) and I love her style of drawing. What I noticed on her characters was that she managed to get the style of female lips that Joe Madureira had used in his Uncanny X-Men comics, which I have been trying for years to mimic. I got the profile down, but for the frontal shots, not a chance.

Anyway, I asked her to show me how and apparently I got it. (Thank you Sango!) So, as the comic goes on, I'm sure you'll notice slight changes in my drawing style as I'm slowly perfecting my style. I guess that this is my "finding myself" in a way. ^^

Man, I'm getting another cold. It's so frustrating when I'm bent over my comic page and my right nostril is dripping like a tap. Why don't I just shove a whole kleenex up my nose and just keep working? Because, honestly, I was very tempted.

*looks up at the text* Huh... I'm turning into Piro. :P
